Effective date
This Privacy Policy is effective August 18, 2026. BookParkByMe operates the booking experience for customers reserving parking with participating properties and operators.
Information we collect
We may collect account and profile details; checkout contact information such as name, email address, and telephone number; reservation details; vehicle information including a license plate when provided; trip information; support messages; contact form submissions; login and authentication information; and fraud, support, and technical diagnostics such as device, browser, IP address, limited error details, and fraud-prevention signals. If a social login option is available and you choose to use it, we receive the information needed to create or access your BookParkByMe account.
If you allow optional measurement, BookParkByMe may also collect information about use of public pages and the booking funnel, limited performance measurements such as Web Vitals, and first-party advertising-attribution information. The attribution fields are limited to Google click identifiers (gclid, gbraid, and wbraid); UTM source, medium, campaign, term, and content values; the public landing path; a sanitized external-referrer host; and first-touch and last-touch timestamps.
Payment information
BookParkByMe uses Stripe for payment processing. We do not store full card numbers in BookParkByMe. We may store payment-related references and metadata, such as Stripe payment IDs, charge IDs, receipt status, amount, currency, and dispute or refund references when needed for reservations, receipts, support, fraud prevention, chargebacks, or legal compliance.
Optional Google measurement
Optional Google Analytics 4 measurement helps BookParkByMe understand use of public pages, booking-funnel performance, and site performance, including Web Vitals. Google Ads conversion measurement is not active at the effective date of this policy, but may be added later to help BookParkByMe understand whether advertising leads to completed initial reservations. Google is the measurement vendor or recipient under the applicable Google terms. Google's legal role as a service provider, processor, controller, or other party remains subject to owner and legal review.
BookParkByMe does not load Google measurement or store first-party advertising attribution unless you explicitly select Allow optional measurement. You may decline without affecting search, checkout, payment, reservation access, support, or account features. A persistent Privacy choices control lets you review or change your choice later. Declining or revoking consent immediately stops new optional measurement and deletes the first-party attribution cookie.
Public-page, booking-funnel, and Web Vitals events may be sent to GA4 after consent. Private admin, operator, account, authentication, and trip routes are excluded. Checkout paths are normalized so private checkout identifiers are not included in measured paths.
For a confirmed initial reservation, BookParkByMe may send the reservation UUID as a transaction ID to prevent duplicate purchase reporting. GA4 may receive the gross customer booking value. If Google Ads conversion measurement is enabled later after a separate approval and certification, Google Ads may receive BookParkByMe platform-revenue value, currently commission plus the booking fee. Values use USD.
Google measurement payloads exclude customer names, email addresses, telephone numbers, license plates, Stripe PaymentIntent IDs, Stripe charge IDs, checkout IDs, checkout access tokens, direct customer contact information, direct payment information, and direct vehicle information. This exclusion does not classify click identifiers, transaction UUIDs, network or device data, or other pseudonymous identifiers as non-personal information.
ad_user_data and ad_personalization remain denied. Google Signals, enhanced conversions, Customer Match, and ad personalization are not enabled in the certified implementation.
How we use information
We use information to create and manage reservations, process payments through Stripe, issue parking passes, provide customer support, investigate fraud or security issues, handle disputes and chargebacks, comply with law, improve the service, and communicate about an account or booking. When optional measurement is allowed, we use the limited measurement information described above to analyze public-site and booking-funnel performance, site performance, and advertising effectiveness.
How we disclose information
We disclose information to participating parking operators or properties when needed to honor a reservation, to Stripe for payment processing, and to vendors or recipients that support hosting, authentication, email, security, analytics, support, or operations. After optional-measurement consent, limited measurement and attribution information may be processed by Google for the purposes described above. We may also disclose information when required for legal, compliance, fraud-prevention, chargeback, or safety reasons.
This policy does not make a final legal classification about whether any Google measurement constitutes a sale or sharing under the CCPA/CPRA, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising. Global Privacy Control treatment, legally required opt-out rights, and Google's legal role remain subject to owner and legal review. BookParkByMe will provide rights and controls required by applicable law.
Reservation and operator details
A participating property or operator may receive the reservation details needed to identify a valid booking, such as reservation time, customer or vehicle details you provide, pass status, and support context related to that property.
Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the service, reservation, payment, support, fraud, security, dispute, legal, accounting, and safety purposes described in this policy. First-party optional-measurement attribution expires after 30 days and is deleted sooner if you decline or revoke optional measurement.
For an unfulfilled checkout classified as abandoned and not protected by a completed payment, reservation, account-provisioning record, or similar operational evidence, the approved lifecycle is designed to redact duplicated checkout contact and vehicle or license-plate information after 30 days and clear limited sanitized cleanup diagnostics and archive the cleanup state after 90 days. Records may be kept longer when reasonably necessary for a disclosed purpose.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can choose whether to allow optional measurement and can review or change that choice through Privacy choices. You can also choose what optional booking details to provide, update account information where available, request support with account access, and ask questions about privacy or data handling. Some information is required to create a reservation, process payment, or issue a parking pass.
Privacy rights, request verification, appeal procedures, retention disclosures, and opt-out methods may vary by jurisdiction. Contact support@bookparkbyme.com to submit a privacy question or request. Owner and legal review must determine any additional jurisdiction-specific language and controls before publication.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for the information we handle. No internet or payment system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, so customers should use strong passwords and contact BookParkByMe if they notice unusual account or payment activity.
Children
BookParkByMe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Third-party services
BookParkByMe may link to or rely on third-party services, including Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, Google, maps, authentication providers, or property or operator websites. Those services may have their own privacy practices and terms.
