An operator's perspective
Choose a facility that fits both ends of your trip.
Compare the arrival and return process alongside the price. The right option should fit your vehicle, your departure schedule, and the way you will get back to your car after landing.
How our parking experience shapes this adviceUnderstand which parking service you are booking
Official LAX parking includes Central Terminal Area garages and the airport's Economy and Budget options. The official Economy and Budget facilities use shuttle service to the terminals. Check LAX's own parking information, linked below, for current locations and transfer arrangements.
Independent off-airport facilities are operated separately from LAX. BookParkByMe lets you reserve at participating properties; the operator runs the facility and its parking service. A booking on our site is not a reservation in an official LAX garage.
Choose the facility, not just the name of a booking website. Confirm the address and parking type on the listing, then match them to the confirmation you take with you.
Compare the complete trip, not just a daily rate
Use the same parking arrival and return times for every quote. Compare taxes, booking fees, and the final amount due. A lower advertised daily price does not tell you which option costs less for your actual trip.
Balance the total price against the transfer you are comfortable making. For a short stay, a simpler terminal transfer may matter more to you than the price difference. For a longer trip, compare the savings over the entire stay before deciding. Off-airport parking is not automatically the cheapest option on every date.
- Compare a quote for your actual dates with another quote for those same dates.
- Check whether a quoted price is for self parking or valet, and covered or uncovered parking.
- Read what is included and whether any charges are due at the facility.
Plan both terminal transfers before choosing
For any option involving a shuttle, account for finding the entrance, checking in, unloading luggage, waiting for the vehicle, and reaching your terminal. Distance from LAX alone cannot tell you how long that process will take.
Read the return pickup instructions as carefully as the departure instructions. Confirm service hours for your flight, the pickup location, and whether you need to call the operator. Contact the property in advance about accessibility, child seats, oversized luggage, or other specific needs rather than assuming every shuttle provides the same service.
Follow your airline's airport arrival guidance and add enough time for parking and the transfer. No parking guide can guarantee a shuttle journey time or a traffic-free trip.
Check the details that can change your decision
An otherwise suitable option may not fit your vehicle or your travel plans. Check height clearance with roof-mounted equipment included, any oversized-vehicle restrictions, whether you keep your keys, and whether re-entry is allowed.
Read the cancellation cutoff and late-return rules before paying. If your plans change, use the contact and reservation tools provided by the company handling your booking. On BookParkByMe, My Trips keeps your reservation and available management options together.
Once you have compared the options, save the entrance address, parking pass, and operator contact information. Knowing where to go and what to show makes the reservation more useful when you reach the lot.
Check the details before you travel.
